Erhahon said in a statement in Benin that the ward congress scheduled for April 5 should be seen as a family contest to promote love and strengthen unity, whatever the outcome.

He commended all stakeholders of the party in the state for their support and urged them to exhibit the same disposition that made their membership registration successful.

The interim publicity secretary urged the stakeholders to unite as members of one family and cooperate with the State Congress Committee to ensure free, fair and peaceful congresses at all levels.

According to him, the State Interim Management Committee appreciates the efforts of various groups at mobilising and strategising for the congresses.

Erhahon said, ‘’Leaders of various groups should, therefore, see the need to dialogue and harmonise with their rivals toward rancour free contests.

“Every leader and group should resolve to prove wrong those who believe that the congresses will mar or break APC.

“Let us do our great party proud by our conduct just as our Comrade Governor has continued to do us proud by his pace-setting performance.”
