Kwankwaso signs N225bn 2014 budget into law

gov-kwankwaso-kano-stateGov. Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano on Wednesday signed N225 billion 2014 budget into law as passed by the State House of Assembly.

Naija247news.com reports that the budget was reviewed by the House of Assembly from N219 billion to N225 billion.

Kwankwaso said that N71.1 billion of the budget was for recurrent expenditure while N154.2 billion was for capital expenditure.

He said that the executive would do its best to implement the budget as faithfully as possible.

The governor thanked the leadership of the House for the expediting action on the passage of the budget.

Kwankwaso called for greater cooperation between the executive and the legislature for the development of the state.
