U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on Monday accused Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s government of obstructing peace talks aimed at ending the civil war.

“It is clear that Bashar al-Assad is continuing to try to win on the battlefield rather than coming to the negotiation table in good faith,’’ Kerry said.
In contrast, Kerry said that the opposition presented a viable well thought-out and well-reasoned road map for the creation of a transitional governing body. (dpa/NAN)
