The Kano State Government said it had established Youth Against Drug Abuse (YADA) clubs in 900 public secondary schools and tertiary institutions in the state.

Kwankwaso said this at the inauguration of the clubs in Kano.
According to the statement, Kwankwaso said that the move was part of his administration’s efforts to contain the menace of drug abuse among youths in the state.
“Our dogged war against illicit, fake, hard and counterfeit drugs and abuse is a battle to finish,’’ the statement said.
He urged the youth to use their membership of the clubs to fight the menace in the state.
The governor also appealed to well-meaning individuals and groups to support the government in rehabilitating drug addicts.
The statement said Dr. Binta Jibril, the State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, announced that many students had registered with the clubs. (NAN)
