She said part of the money would also be utilised for the purchase of equipment for the Plateau Publishing Company.
Dazyam said that the meeting, chaired by Governor Jonah Jang, also considered and approved a submission for the award of contracts by the Plateau Tender’s Board.
She pledged that all contracts would be completed before the expiration of the Jang administration in 2015, adding that the governor had initiated meetings with all project consultants and the supervising ministries.
“The governor hopes to use the meetings to address challenges that could impede the speedy completion of on-going projects because he has vowed to complete all projects he initiated,’’ she said.
Dazyam said that the governor also announced his plan to resuscitate the Panyam Fish Farm in Mangu, as well as the Livestock Farm in Kuru, near Jos.
She hinted that the council also initiated discussions for a long-term loan with minimal interest rates for the revival of comatose industrial outfits, especially those in the agricultural sector.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the council meeting was the first this year
