Adeniran made the call in Lagos during an anti-corruption tour, organised by the group to mark this year’s “World Anti-Corruption Day”.
He said that the Federal Government should ensure that security agencies and anti-corruption agencies were strengthened with funds, equipment and facilities.
“CACOL further sees the need for our collective will and resolves to rid society of corruption.
“Government alone cannot do the job. There is need for support from Nigerians by way of information dissemination.
“Nigerians should refuse to be used for corrupt purposes, openly shun, despise and disgrace corrupt elements in our society, “Adeniran stressed.
The executive chairman also urged anti-graft and security agencies to expedite actions on investigating allegations levelled against government officials at federal, state and Local Government levels.
“There is need for all the anti-graft agencies to be up and doing in detecting, investigating and prosecuting corruption cases in the country.
“We ask that due diligent investigations be done, reports be made public and whoever is indicted should be prosecuted and punished appropriately, “Adeniran said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the CACOL enlightenment rally was held in some major streets in Lagos.
