The Nasarawa State Government has concluded arrangements for the upgrading of three Secondary Schools into comprehensive colleges, to enhance access to quality education.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Gov. Umaru Al-makura, who disclosed this when he hosted the Keffi Old Boys Association (KOBA) in Lafia, said a school would be selected from each of the three senatorial districts in the state.
“Education is the bedrock of economic and national development and we are going to do everything possible to
ensure that we provide a conducive atmosphere for learning in schools.
“This administration will revitalise education in the state, such that the sector will regain its lost glory.
“If you look at the facilities in some secondary schools and the infrastructure on ground, you will know that we are
heading towards a disaster in this country”, the governor said.
He commended Gen. Emmanuel Abisoye retired, the President-General of KOBA, for piloting the affairs of the
association effectively.
He also appreciated the efforts of the old boys of the school for promoting unity in the country.
Earlier, Abisoye commended Al-makura for his commitment to the development of education in the country, and called for more contributions from members of the associations to improve on existing infrastructure in the school
