Barcelona have denied they want Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.
Real Madrid ARE keen on the Argentine superstar, and reports in Spain have now claimed that their arch-rivals Barca will make a £50million bid to bing him back to La Liga next summer.
But the Catalans’ vice-president Josep Bartomeu said: “No, we have had no contact with him. I can say that the story is not true.”
The Blues are adamant they will not sell Aguero to anybody, and manager Manuel Pellegrini insists the in-form striker does not want to leave.
But Real have made the 25-year-old a top target for next summer – which could also have implications for Liverpool as that would make a move for Luis Suarez by the Bernabeu side unlikely.
Real would have found it difficult to buy Aguero when he left city rivals Atletico in 2011, and may find it easier now he’s been in England for two years.
They would also have an advantage on Barca, who know a deal would be difficult to broker with City – the Blues’ chief executive Ferran Soriano has fallen out with the Catalans’ president Sandro Rosell since leaving the Nou Camp.
