An Osogbo Chief Magistrates’ Court on Monday ordered the remand of Tajudeen Omole, 35, for allegedly defiling a twelve-year-old girl.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!The Prosecutor, Mr Solomon Oladele, had told the court that the accused committed the offence on Nov. 27 at Ikolaba Area in Osogbo.
Oladele said the accused went to the house of his victim to ask of her elder sister, whom he claimed, was his friend.
He said Omole took advantage of the sister’s absence, lured her into her room under the pretext of asking her questions and unlawfully had carnal knowledge of her.
The prosecutor said the accused forcefully and unlawfully had carnal knowledge of his victim without her consent.
Oladele said the offence contravened Section 218 of the Criminal Code of Osun 2003.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr Olusola Aluko, ordered that the accused be remanded in Ilesha prison.
Aluko adjourned the case to Jan. 22, 2014 for mention. (NAN)
