Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, the Chairman of the task force and state Commissioner for health,  told NAN in Kano that  10 mobile courts participated in the exercise.

Abbas said that defaulters paid a total of N318,421 as fines before they were let go.

Assessing the level of compliance, the chairman said he was satisfied with the level of participation by members of the public.

He particularly commended the Hotoro Mobile Police Barracks, underscoring the importance of team work in an exercise such as this one.

‘’We will support them with working tools because what they were doing was impressive,” the commissioner said while praising the barracks residents for active participation in the clean-up.

He advised residents to commit themselves to environmental hygiene for their benefit, without waiting to be asked to do it. (NAN)
