First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has donated food items to the 54 inmates of Zainab Sa’idu Usman Dakingari Orphanage in Birnin Kebbi.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!The Branch Manager of the bank, Alhaji Musa Sakaba, who presented the items on Saturday, said the donation was part of the bank’s corporate responsibility.
He urged the management of the orphanage to ensure proper upbringing of the orphans.
He advised the orphans to “shun the feeling of parental loneliness and adopt the training, care and support given them by foster parents and the public.’’
Sakaba said the bank was ready to contribute to the development of the state as government alone cannot satisfy the requirements of all citizens.
The Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hajiya Hafsat Gulumbe, represented by,Malama Maryam Ibrahim, commended the bank for the gesture.
She said the support by corporate organisations, individuals and government enabled some inmates to gain admission into institutions of higher learning within and outside the country.
Items donated to the home include a bag of rice, one power generating set, cartons of indomie noodles, detergent, chocolates, among others. (NAN)
