Four vessels to discharge petroleum products at Lagos ports


OILTANKThe Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) on Monday said four vessels laden with petroleum products had arrived in Lagos ports.

The information was contained in Monday’s edition of ‘Shipping Position’, a daily publication of the NPA.

It said the vessels would discharge their products at various port terminals including the Atlas Cove Jetty, Ibafon, Bulk Oil Plan and the Single Bouy Mooring.

The publication also disclosed that the NPA was expecting 80 vessels at the various terminals in Lagos from Nov. 25 to Dec. 25.

It said that of the 80 vessels being expected within the period, 32 would arrive with containers, while 18 of them would sail in with food items.

“The food items include buckwheat, bulk sugar, bulk malt, frozen fish and palmoilein,” the publication reported.

It also disclosed that general cargo would be brought into the ports in 10 vessels, while seven other vessels would sail in with various products.

The remaining two vessels will arrive at the ports with petroleum products.  (NAN)
