Speaking at a lecture on Nigeria’s electoral process and 2015, in London, a special adviser to the Commission’s chairman, Mohammed Kuna, attempted to douse the concerns of the international community regarding credible elections in Nigeria.

Kuna represented the key note speaker, Attahiru Jega, at the lecture themed ‘Explaining Nigeria In The Emergent Global Order: The Road To 2015 General Elections’. He assured Nigerians in the diaspora that mistakes of past elections would not be repeated in 2015.

Participants at the lecture, including the Director of The African Leadership Centre, Kings College, London, Dr Funmi Olonisakin expressed doubt of the country’s election process.

However, INEC insisted that the commission was well prepared for Anambra and that the emergent problems should not be interpreted as a prediction for 2015.
