David Pleat believes Tottenham must find form quickly if they’re to finish in the top four.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Spurs spent big money in the summer to overhaul their squad and reinvested most of the £87million they received from Real Madrid for Gareth Bale.
But, while results have been good for the north London club, performances have been lacking attacking intent and former manager Pleat claims Andre Villas-Boas’ side will need to improve up front if they’re to force their way into the Champions League next season.
“Tottenham have a good chance of finishing in the top four but they have to hit some rhythm quickly,” he told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show. “They are picking up results but that’s down to a solid formation and good organisation. They also have an outstanding goalkeeper and two great centre-backs.
“The more creative side of the team may have to be a little bit more progressive in their play.”
