The Osun Commissioner for Health, Mrs Temitope Ilori, on Monday in Iwo said quick response to breast cancer would bring about quick recovery in order to save life.
Ilori disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) during a visit to the State Hospital in Iwo.
“Early discovery is the best way to cure such deadly disease and the state government has put all machinery in motion to ensure that the screening and treatment of victims are appropriately carried out,’’ she said.
The hospital’s Medical Director, Mr Ojo Idowu, said the present administration in the state had done a great job by ensuring the delivery of good healthcare to its citizens.
Idowu said the hospital had the highest number of patients from neighbouring states and across the country’s border patients.(NAN)
