Okunroumu, a former senator from Ogun State, is among those who have been clamouring for the conference.

Jonathan also said that other members of the committee, which has one month within which to recommend modalities for the conference, will be announced later.

There has been serious agitation for the conference, which many has described as the panacea for the crisis bedeviling the country.

Support for the conference gained support recently when the President of the Senate, Sen. David Mark said the time for its conveyance was now.

Also, the northern states, which had before now expressed reservation about the conference, expressed its support for it.
