Top executives of Deloitte, the global audit, tax, consulting, and financial advisory services firm, will be visiting Nigeria from October 1, 2013, as it expects to ramp up its Nigeria focus after integrating its Africa practice recently.
Some of the key officials visiting include Brian Derksen, deputy chief executive officer, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL), Jan Dalhuisen, regional managing partner, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Manoj Singh, management principal, DTT Global MGT, and Lwazi Bam, CEO, Deloitte, Africa.
“With this new development, Akintola Williams Deloitte (AWD) will be receiving substantial focus from the global network and is now part of the 34 Deloitte member firms in Africa that form the new face of Deloitte in Africa,” according to a release by Deloitte.
Furthermore, “the legal integration of these firms will move Deloitte into a completely different league, further cementing its market leading position in Africa…. As a priority market, AWD will receive substantial financial investments aimed at enhancing the quality and breadth of
services provided to its local and cross border clients. This will leverage off the great depth of expertise already on the continent and across the globe,” according to Lwazi Bam, CEO, Deloitte Africa.
A business luncheon is being scheduled for the global leadership executives to meet and interact with the firm’s top most clients. This unique gathering will also afford the visitors an opportunity to meet a major component of the “New face of Deloitte in Africa,” namely the Partners and Clients of Deloitte in Nigeria.
Deloitte refers to one or more of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited, a UK private company limited by guarantee, and its network of member firms, each of which is a legally separate and independent entity.
