Sergio Ramos recognised the superiority of the Atlético squad that won the derby: “We lacked a bit of pace, mobility and adjustment between the lines. When things don’t go well we need to reflect and draw conclusions.”
“You go home disappointed because of the points. We need to reflect. You can’t fault the team on heart, attitude and willingness, but this is not the way it should start” he added.
Ramos spoke of his duel with Diego Costa: “He’s a great striker and that’s just the way football is. As a defender I like to face the best.”
