After fashion police had lashed at her for not measuring up to par on the red carpet, Yoruba movie actress, Mercy Aigbe hasn’t got over the dress that brought her much shame. If anyone had told her not to follow her designer, Tokunbo’s suggestion on the day she wore the glittering-blue feathered dress to that red carpet event, Mercy would have probably turned down the advice.
But no sooner then she stepped on the red carpet, than fashionisters decided to pounce on her.
And guess what, Mercy revealed in an interview with Punch yesterday, that since the ugly incident, she’s been avoiding the dress like a plague because it has a negative story behind it. Here is how she puts it:
“After the story broke, I called my designer and said, Tokunbo, that cloth you made for me, did you see the story? Any time I see the dress, I have mixed feelings. I laugh and feel somehow. I have never worn it after that day, it has a story attached to it. You know the thing about these dresses once you wear them on red carpet that is it.
