KANKE, Plateau, Dec. 27, 2025 (Naija247news) – The Plateau State Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Samson Bugama, has distributed farm inputs to 180 farmers in Kanke Local Government Area as part of efforts to boost agricultural productivity in the state.

Bugama presented the items to beneficiaries on Saturday, stating that the gesture underscores the state government’s commitment to grassroots development and support for smallholder farmers.

He said the intervention aligns with Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s agricultural agenda designed to scale food production and strengthen rural livelihoods.

“This intervention reflects this administration’s commitment to enhancing agriculture at the community level by supporting small-scale farmers with tools required to improve crop yields,” Bugama said.

He explained that the farmers were selected from the 18 wards in the locality.

The inputs distributed include pumping machines, sprayers, organic fertiliser, herbicides and pesticides, among others.
