Chevron Invests 21.6bn on social investment strategic framework

Chevron has impacted lives through its social investment strategic framework approximately a sum of 21.6 billion dollars has been invested into community development in 14 years were over 400 communities and 600,000 individual are benefited through the generated opportunities for sustainable and equitable economic development in Niger delta in particular.

This was revealed by the General Manager Policy Government and Public Affairs of Chevron Esimaje Brikinn, Represented by the Communication Manager Sola Adabonwo, while briefing participants at the ongoing advance writing and reporting skill (AWARES) programme at the pan Atlantic university ibeju-lekki.

He said the framework as create a free flow of communication which enhance investment climate for chevron to conduct and to grow its business in Nigeria and also improve the standard of living of the communities neighboring chevron area of operation.

Also, CNL who strongly believes in the development of human capacity enhance the programme the advance writing and reporting skill (AWARES) for journalist by partnering with relevant stakeholder everywhere we have operate in our effort to achieve common goal he said.

Move over, he notes that chevron support community to have access to quality education by building and equipping 39 science laboratory complexes, over 2500 AMEPS awardees currently on going program, 715 agbami scholar’s graduated with first class since 2009, 16,300 undergraduate medicine, engineering and further revealed that over 2.8billion as been spent on chest clinics since 2008 with 28 chest clinic built across the 36 state and the F.C.T exception of the insurgent area in the north
