Nigeria to suspend national airline

LONDON, Sept 19 – Nigeria’s plan to relaunch a national airline has been suspended, a junior aviation minister tweeted on Wednesday.

“I regret to announce that the Federal Executive Council has taken the tough decision to suspend the national carrier project in the interim,” Hadi Sirika, junior aviation minister, said on Twitter.

The plan to relaunch was first announced in July.
