As part of its commitment for creating safe spaces for youth through education, economic empowerment and political inclusion Rise Network in conjunction with Lagos State Government funds 100 micro SME business with N 50,000 each, with the main of reducing unemployment and producing world class entrepreneurs in Nigeria.
The parties have so far awarded cash prize of N50, 000 to 100 SME at the just concluded Local Government SME competition within Ikeja Divison, Badagry Division, Ikorodu, ITA ELEWA, Lagos Island Division, EPE DIVISION.
Speaking at the Conference for prize Presentation at the Rise Networks 2018 Local Government SME Competition, in Onikan Youth Centre, Lagos, and Mrs. Toyosi Akerele- Ogunsiji, Founder / CEO of the Rise Networks’ Nigeria, said Rise Networks and Parties believes that the most rewarding investment is the investment in people, because the greatest asset of a nation is its people. The people are the underlying philosophy behind the social investment in thematic development.

According to the CEO the Vision of Rise Networks and parties is to rise micro vibrant grass root business from bottom to the top, business with low life boundaries, low capital, Businesses
Like Hair dressing, groundnut seller, street drink sellers, Ice cream sellers, Barbing salon, small provision shops and others lacking basic equipment to keep the business going and reaching the higher level.
Reducing poverty, crime, creating employment and making the citizens of Lagos industrious is the main objective of the platform she said. We fund, educate, and mentor grass root community business, building them to be become Aliko Dangote of the future. She added.
She further noted that China, America is the world leading economy today , simply because micro grass root businesses was empowered, adding that if federal government will move in the same direction with visions of the Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode by 2050 Nigeria will become a producing economy not a consuming nation.
Governor Ambode aim at reducing joblessness, high rate of prostitution, human trafficking, cyber and internet crime through the empowerment of micro business on the community of Lagos she said.
She further encourages other State Governors to emulate the vision as the means of reducing poverty and crime in the nation as Nigeria is named the one poorest people in the world.
Beneficiaries of the cash prize competition
Miss. Ebie Joy from delta state, a resident of N0 5 Boruy Street Ikorodu Lagos, in an interview with Naija247news on her part commends Governor Ambode restoring her dying business. According to her I have been trying to get a loan from the bank, it has not been easy, the requirement and condition demanding is high, but with the government fund the sky is the limit.
Miss. Joy a road side provision and cosmetic seller said with this money she will purchase certain amount of product her consumers are demanding.
Mr. Seyi from Lagos state, Epe local government, commends the effort of Rise Network and the Lagos State Governor for coming down to the grass root level; this is the very first time something like this is happening in lagos, its shows that poverty is coming to an end shortly he said.
Seyi a cake and Ice Cream producer said for a while he has been struggling to get a loan to repair the machine used for production, adding that he has been out of production for months now.
But with the sum of N50, 000 he will resume production again and is family will have something to eat.
