Zenith Bank Plc. has appointed Dr. Mukhtar Adam as its chief financial officer.
A statement from the lender said that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) had approved his appointment.
Before joining the bank in 2007, he had worked in Financial Services Group of the Nigerian and Ghanaian practices of PricewaterhouseCoopers (now PwC) as a senior consultant.
The statement said that his expertise covers financial reporting and analysis, tax management, audit management, strategy development and execution, enterprise risk management, credit risk management, financial advisory, capacity building and training.
Adam holds a PhD in finance from Leeds Beckett University (UK); Master of Science degree in Finance from University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies, (UK), Master of Business Administration (MBA) finance, University of Leicester (UK) and Bachelor of Education, economics and management from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana.
Also, Adam holds a diploma in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
