Chelsea are closing in on a £30m deal for Danny Drinkwater.
They are also targeting Inter Milan midfielder Antonio Candreva who has been told he can go for £25m.

That will boost Chelsea boss Antonio Conte who has been given assurances the club is ready to back him with big moves in the market before the window shuts.

Chelsea had a £15m bid for Drinkwater turned down with Leicester demanding £40m as they insist he is a title winner and that is market value.

But with Drinkwater anxious to make the switch, Chelsea are hoping to find a compromise as Leicester know the player wants to go.

They have also held talks with Inter on Candreva as a deal has been lined up with Conte considering his options but will press the button as soon as he knows which other transfers are on.
