The APC has dismissed reports that it has zoned its Anambra State governorship ticket.

The party, which reacted yesterday through its National Publicity Secretary, Malam Bolaji Abdullahi, said no to zoning of the governorship ticket expected to be contested by 12 governorship aspirants come Saturday, August 26.

Abdullahi said in a statement that the report was false because the party had not taken any such decision.

He voiced the commitment of the party to provide equal opportunity for all aspirants to compete freely and democratically at the primaries.

He, therefore, urged all the aspirants cleared by the party to contest in the primaries to ignore what he called “the misleading report.”

The 12 APC governorship aspirants to contest in Saturday’s primary election are Chief George Moghalu, Senator Andy Uba, Engineer Bart Nwibe, Chukwuma Paul, Barrister Nonso Madu, Patrick Nwike, Tony Nwoye, Obidigbo Chike, Dr Obinna Uzoh, Okonwko D., Onunkwo Johnbosco, and Uchegbu Adoabi.
