Hon.Toba Adaramola, who is the Director-General of Kola Alabi Governorship Campaign, served under former Governor Kayode Fayemi as Senior Special Assistant from 2010 to 2014. He was also former Chairman of Irepodun-Irepodun Local Government Area. Daramola, who said he had started leading the aspirant’s campaign to the nooks and crannies of Ekiti, said: “Kola Alabi is an aspirant who has got something great to offer. He is fit for what we call generational shift from the old ones to the young and vibrant. He is also fit for the agitation for Southern candidate for governor.

“Enough of the deceit by our leaders that youths of today are leaders of tomorrow. When will our tomorrow come? Kola Alabi is now in his early 40s. He is very successful business man, well-educated and exposed, and has quite a lot to offer the state. He’s got the intellect, the connection, he has the resources and all it takes to be governor of Ekiti State.”

Mr. Gbenga Omole, who also served under Fayemi as Special Adviser, was a former Chairman of Association of Local Government Chairmen in Nigeria (ALGON),  Ekiti State chapter, as well as ex-chairman of Ikere Local Government Area, said: “Many aspirants from our party have approached me but I have found Kola Alabi as the best of them all. He has been very humble, generous and a quite supporter of our party right from time.

“He is also very humble and intelligent and has got great leadership qualities. He is ready to work and respects everyone, the young and the elderly. Spiritually, I know that Kola Alabi is going to be the next governor of Ekiti State.

“He has contributed greatly to the development of Ikere, his hometown. When we needed a transformer to get rid of many years of lack of power, he donated N10 million to the community. He also donated N5 million to us during the celebration of Ikere Day.”

Another staunch supporter of Alabi is Hon. Tope Olanipekun, a former member of the House of Assembly and former Chairman of Ado-Ekiti Local Government Area.

Speaking in Ikere-Ekiti during the aspirant’s meeting with APC ward leaders and delegates, he said: “It is high time we allowed the southern part of Ekiti State to produce a governor; I mean the next governor. Other parts, Central and north, have had their share. Alabi is a home-grown politician who has been on ground for more than 20 years. He has been in our party since former Governor Niyi Adebayo ruled the state and didn’t leave the party. He is at home with the grassroot. He is a highly responsible young man, intelligent and articulate.’’

Also, Mr.Yemi Ajayi, from Moba Local Government Area, who served as Senior Special Assistant to former Governor Fayemi said: “Today, we are hosting our people, all the 11 wards in Ikere-Ekiti. We are intimating of the intention of Alabi to be governor. The crowd you see here include the delegates and excos of our party from the wards. The outing has been encouraging and I want to tell you that all our people in the southern part of Ekiti will endorse Alabi as their candidate.“
