Barcelona Key Player LIONEL MESSI has told Barcelona new coach  Ernesto Valverde to sign Pholip Coutinho and Marco Verratti at Nou Camp next season.

Valverde has only been the new Barcelona manager for a matter of days is starting to feel the pressure from the Barcelona star man.

But Messi has reportedly demanded that he gets down to business straight away.

According source   Messi has been left frustrated at Manchester City’s quick-fire £43m deal for Monaco’s Bernardo Silva. Report claims.

Silva has signed a five-year-deal worth £175,000-a-week at the Etihad with City boss Pep Guardiola laying down an impressive marker ahead of his summer spending spree.

City’s mega-money deal has obviously not gone unnoticed and Messi wants Barcelona to follow suit.

He wants a player of similar style and quality to Silva to join the La Liga giants for next season.

And he has told Valverde to go out and get Liverpool star Coutinho or Verratti of Paris St-Germain

According to source Messi has told Valverde that it is ‘completely non-negotiable’ that he signs a star midfielder this summer.

Coutinho enjoyed a fine season at Liverpool last term despite his injury problems, scoring 13 top-flight goals, his best return to date.

The 24-year-old has been consistently linked with a move to Barcelona and is a good friend of Nou Camp ace Neymar.

Verratti, meanwhile, has also been on Barca’s radar for several months but insisted earlier this week that he’ll stay at PSG this summer.
