Tambuwal commissions Air Peace Lagos-Abuja-Sokoto toute

Gov. Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state on Wednesday, inaugurated the Air Peace Airline Lagos-Abuja-Sokoto route.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the inaugural flight arrived the Sultan Abubakar III International Airport, Sokoto 12.43p.m, with Boeing 737-300 aircraft carrying 136 passengers on board.

Tambuwal was represented at the occasion by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Bashir Garba.

The governor described the airline as one of the,” best, safest and reliable” in Nigeria and remained debt-free, adding that the inclusion of the Sokoto route would be very rewarding for the airline.

” We will extend all the needed support and patronage to the airline,” Tambuwal said.

The Chief of Staff to Tambuwal, Alhaji Mukhtar Magori, sai, ”The coming of the airline to Sokoto would boost competition with passengers having value for their money.”

The Chairman of the airline, Mr Allen Onyema, said the mission was to make air travel in Nigeria,” seamless, safe, pleasurable and affordable.’’

Represented by Mr Patrick Achurefe, Manager, Safety and Quality, Onyema said,” We are already replicating our success story on the regional route with the launch of the Lagos-Accra route.

” We will soon extend services to other parts of Africa, Middle East, Europe and USA, among others.”

The Sokoto Airport Manager, Alhaji Ahmed Adamu, assured the airline of the availability of excellent facilities.
