Bloodless Revolution Army in Nigeria, a prayer and social action movement, has said its forthcoming conference will focus on bringing about the genuine transformation that is needed in the country.
BRAIN said the Transformers’ Gathering, scheduled to be held from October 27 to 29 in Lagos, was aimed at mobilising Christians to pray and discuss the pressing spiritual, social, and leadership issues in the country.
With a vision to raise an intercessory army in each state in Nigeria, the group said there would be between 30 and 300 men and women, young and old, committed to seeing change and transformation in Nigeria.
The Team Lead, BRAIN, Joel Oluyemi, who is based in the United Kingdom, said, “The 2016 conference is a Nehemiah call, wherein God is giving the church in Nigeria another chance to be re-salted so that the transformation process of our land can be accelerated. We believe this is a season of divine opportunity and mercy.
“We believe that there is a prophetic call to the church to re-emphasise her dual responsibility: to touch heaven and to change the earth. That is, to bring men and women into the eternal purpose of God and also to transform societies and nations with the power and values of God’s kingdom.”
He said the conference, whose theme is ‘Touching Heaven, Changing Earth’, would take place at the World Missions Center – Foursquare Gospel Church, National Headquarters, Yaba, Lagos.
Speakers include the Executive Director, Tierra Nueva and The People’s Seminary in Burlington, Washington, Bob Ekblad; the founder of City Chapel, UK, Jonathan Oloyede, and the General Overseer of Living Waters Unlimited Church Headquarters, Lagos, Ladi Thompson.
Others are the founder and Senior Pastor, He’s Alive Chapel, Nigeria, Austin Ukachi; the Founding General Overseer, All Christians Fellowship Mission, Abuja, William Okoye, and a former governorship candidate, Njideka Anyadike.
Oluyemi said, “For far too long, we have neglected our responsibility to the nation. We have developed an insular theology; we have abandoned our nation to those who have plundered and raped it. We can afford this no longer.
“We look forward to welcoming your gracious presence at this year’s gathering. Kindly help mobilise believers within your network and churches to participate in this life-transforming experience. It is our prayer that our lives and the destiny of our land will be changed for better in Jesus’ name.”
He said BRAIN was established by God three years ago to carry out a rescue operation to prevent Nigeria from imminent war that was looming over the nation at that time; to deliver the poor and oppressed in the land, and serve as one of the vehicles to birth a new Nigeria through intensive intercession and prophetic actions.
According to him, it was launched on October 1, 2013, with 200 Christians represented across several countries and denominations.
“Participants will be reconnected to the heavens in order to effect the genuine transformation that is needed in our nation. There is need for us to touch heaven in order to change the earth,” Oluyemi added.
