Chevron Mean Good Fortune for Education

As part of its commitment in the pursuit of standard education in the country, chevron Nigeria limited (CNL) in partnership with the federal ministry of Education announces the closing ceremony of its 2016 edition of the National Art Competition (NAC) in Delta State.

The event involves Secondary Schools across the country , will also feature an exhibition and award of scholarship to winner.

The theme of this year’s edition, waste to wealth, aligns with CNL, commitment to using its experience technology and perseverance to overcome challenges and deliver value.

There will be cash prize for the winners of the competition in the form of scholarship for the rest of his/her secondary school education. In addition the runners –up and other top performers will receive one –off cash prizes.

The event which see participants, using Art to achieve patriotism about Nigeria from an early stage, generate visuals for chevron’s internal and external communications vessels like calendar, greeting cards and exhibitions and to demonstrate CNL’s commitment to Corporate Responsibility and youth development .

With the support of the Federal Ministry of Education, Chevron Nigeria Limited, CNL initiated the NAC program in 2005 for all Nigerian Secondary Schools to stimulate their interest in the field of fine and creative arts, and develop an avenue for the children to see their potentials of becoming future entrepreneurs. The competition has thus far produced over 200 winners including other beneficiaries of scholarship covering educational disbursement.
