The Presidency Sunday night break the silence over the health challenges of President Muhammadu Buhari as it confirmed that he would jet out to London for further medical attention.
According to a two paragraph statement on his facebook wall,

(Media and Publicity) to the President said Buhari will take 10 days off and travel to London on Monday June 6th to rest.
“During the holiday, he will see an E.N.T. specialist for a persistent ear infection. The President was examined by his Personal Physician and an E.N.T Specialist in Abuja and was treated. Both Nigerian doctors recommended further evaluation purely as a precaution,” the statement explained.
The major party, People’s Democratic Party had about two weeks ago alerted the nation about the ear infection of the president.
The president had subsequently cancelled all official trips of recent.
Meanwhile Vice President Yemi Osinbajo left Abuja on last weekend for Dakar, Senegal, to attend the 49th Ordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
A statement issued by the Vice Presidential spokesman, Mr Laolu Akande, in Abuja on Friday said Osinbajo would be representing President Muhammadu Buhari at the event.
According to the statement, the event takes place at the weekend while Osinbajo is expected back in Abuja on Sunday.
