Kwentoh told  the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in a telephone interview on Monday that the forms were sold to candidates vying for elective positions under the umbrella of APGA.

NAN reports that  Chief Victor Umeh,  the national chairman of the party, and  Chief Ernest Ndukwe, former Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC),  are among those that had bought the forms.

Others include ; Chief Dubem Obaze, a former commissioner for Local Government Affairs and Chieftaincy Matters, and Chief Patrick Obianwu, a former gubernatorial aspirant.

NAN reports that there are three Senatorial, 11 Federal House of Representatives and 30 House of Assembly seats, to be vied for by political aspirants in the 2015 general elections.

He said that the sale of forms by the party would end on Nov. 4 , adding that the closing date could be extended  if there were appeals by aspirants .

According to Kwentoh, about 115 nomination forms had been sold to those aspiring to represent their constituencies in the Anambra House of Assembly.

He added that  24 forms were sold to those aspiring to go to the House of Representatives and nine forms to those going to the Senate.

Also, Chief Ifeanyi Udokwu, Deputy Chairman of the party in the state, said that the activities at the party’s state headquarters in Awka since it commenced sales of forms  last week had showed that it was still the party to beat in the state and beyond.

Udokwu said that the rush for the party’s ticket was expected as the party had performed well there, adding that the party would extend the feat to the elections proper.

“Those of us in Anambra expect this because APGA has done well; the people have continued to repose absolute confidence in the party.

“The defection of  a  few people has not affected the fortunes of the  party.

“Our rallies in Abia, Delta and Imo showed awesome receptions and in Kaduna, we are having a strong gubernatorial candidate,  so we are going to have a massive rally there too.

“And after the election, do not be surprised that APGA will win more positions at all levels than you have expected,” he added. (NAN)
