Tambuwal, who gave the assurance while answering questions from newsmen at Agba community in Ishielu Local Council of Ebonyi State shortly after the burial of Elder Moses Edeh Akuru, father of Peter Edeh representing Ishielu/ Ezza North Federal Constituency, said: “I commend the people of this community for coming out enmasse to show appreciation for the life of our leader and father who lived well as a community leader and served well.

“We commiserate with the family members and urge them to know that it is only God that can give and take life. Our happiness is that he left behind worthy children who can do better.”

In his speech, the Prelate of Methodist Church of Nigeria, His Eminence, Dr. Samuel Kanu Uche, said that as 2015 general elections draw near, God would settle all crises and tribal differences rocking the nation.

According to him: “My message to Nigerians is that we should go on with the 2015 elections. If the leaders of the North-East are not ready to co-operate, we should go ahead without them. But I want them to behave well and advise their children so that the elections will take place in everywhere in Nigeria. But I think before then, God will settle this matter.

“Boko Haram members are troubling the country. I am appealing to them to have a change of heart because if they destroy this country, we have no other country to call our own. I want them to know that they may be deceiving themselves if they think that Nigeria will ever be Islamised.

“Nigeria can never be Islamised. Nigeria will remain a secular state where people are free to practise their religions without interference.

The prelate gave assurance that the reports of the National Conference will survive in the National Assembly, adding that President Jonathan has good purpose for convening the conference and that the Upper Chamber will not jeopardise that great efforts.
