INEC has set up National Inter-agency Advisory Committee on Voter Education and Publicity (NICVEP).

The statement explained that the committee would ensure effective dissemination of information and enlightenment of the electorate for credible elections in 2015.
“The commission has established NICVEP for effective dissemination of electoral information and enlightenment of the electorate’’, it said.
The committee, according to the statement, comprises members from 15 agencies.
They are INEC, National Orientation Agency, Federal Ministries of Information, Education, Youth and Sport, Women Affairs and Social Development, and Communication and National Broadcasting Commission.
Others are the News Agency of Nigeria, Nigeria Communication Commission, Nigerian Television Authority, and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Nigerian Guild of Editors, Nigeria Labour Congress and the Nigeria Union of Journalists.
It said that the committee would be headed by the National Commissioner in Charge of INEC Information and Publicity Committee (IPC).
According to the statement, the committee will be inaugurated at 10 am on May 7 in the INEC Conference Hall in Abuja.
